Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: September 6, 2026
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms and conditions aim to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the company and users in connection with the internet-related services (hereinafter "Services") provided by the online shopping mall PATEX (patexpatexpatex.com, hereinafter "Mall") operated by PATEX. (hereinafter "Company").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Mall" refers to the virtual business place established by the Company to transact goods or services (hereinafter "Goods, etc.") using information and communication facilities such as computers, for the purpose of providing Goods, etc. to users.
- "User" refers to members and non-members who access the Mall and receive services provided by the Mall in accordance with these terms and conditions.
- "Member" refers to a person who has registered as a member with the Mall and can continuously use the services provided by the Mall.
- "Non-member" refers to a person who uses the services provided by the Mall without registering as a member.
Article 3 (Disclosure, Explanation, and Amendment of Terms and Conditions)
- The Company shall prominently display the contents of these terms and conditions, company name and representative's name, business address, phone number, email address, business registration number, telemarketing business report number, personal information protection officer, etc., on the initial service screen (bottom) of the Mall for users to easily view.
- The Company may amend these terms and conditions to the extent that they do not violate relevant laws such as the 「Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.」 and the 「Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions」.
- When amending the terms and conditions, the effective date and reasons for amendment shall be specified and announced on the initial screen of the Mall along with the current terms and conditions, from 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date. However, if the changes are unfavorable to the user, a grace period of at least 30 days shall be provided before the announcement.
Article 4 (Provision and Change of Services)
- The Company performs the following tasks: providing information about Goods, etc. and concluding purchase agreements, delivering Goods, etc. for which purchase agreements have been concluded, and other tasks determined by the Company.
- The Company may change the content of Goods, etc. to be provided under future contracts in cases such as out-of-stock items or changes in technical specifications. In such cases, the changed content and delivery date shall be clearly specified and announced immediately.
Article 5 (Suspension of Services)
The Company may temporarily suspend the provision of services in the event of maintenance inspection, replacement, or malfunction of information and communication facilities such as computers, or communication disconnection, and shall notify this on the Mall.
Article 6 (Membership Registration)
- Users apply for membership registration by filling in membership information according to the Company's prescribed application form and expressing their consent to these terms and conditions.
- The Company registers users as members unless they fall under any of the following: where there are false, omitted, or erroneous entries in the registration details, or where it is deemed that registration as a member would significantly hinder the Mall's technology.
- If there is a change in the information registered by a member at the time of membership registration, the member must notify the Company of such change within a reasonable period.
Article 7 (Membership Withdrawal and Loss of Qualifications, etc.)
- Members may request withdrawal from the Company at any time, and the Company shall promptly process the membership withdrawal.
- If a member falls under any of the following reasons, the Company may restrict or suspend the member's qualifications: if false information is registered when applying for membership, if the member fails to pay debts such as the price of goods purchased through the Mall on time, if the member interferes with other people's use of the Mall or misappropriates their information, thereby threatening the order of electronic commerce, if the member commits acts prohibited by laws or these terms and conditions or acts contrary to public morals using the Mall.
Article 8 (Purchase Application and Formation of Contract)
- Users apply for purchase on the Mall by searching and selecting Goods, etc., entering their name, address, phone number, email address, etc., and selecting a payment method.
- A contract is deemed to be formed when the Company expresses its acceptance (order confirmation notification) of the user's purchase application. However, the Company may not accept the application if there are false, omitted, or erroneous entries in the application details, or if supply is impossible due to stock depletion.
Article 9 (Payment Method)
Payment for goods, etc. purchased on the Mall can be made by credit card, account transfer, simple payment (Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, Toss Pay, etc.), or other methods provided by the Company. Payments are processed through an electronic payment gateway (PG) provider.
Article 10 (Supply of Goods, etc.)
- Unless there is a separate agreement with the user regarding the supply period of Goods, etc., the Company shall take necessary measures such as custom manufacturing, packaging, etc., to deliver the Goods, etc. within 7 days from the date the user places the order. If the user has paid the price, the Company shall take measures within 3 business days from the date of receipt of the payment.
- Detailed information such as delivery areas, shipping costs, and delivery times shall follow the separate 「Shipping and Refund Policy」.
Article 11 (Withdrawal of Subscription, etc.)
- Users may withdraw their subscription within 7 days from the date they receive a written document concerning the contract details according to Article 13, Paragraph 2 of the 「Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.」 (if the supply of Goods, etc. is made later, from the date of receipt or commencement of supply of Goods, etc.).
- If a user has received Goods, etc., they cannot return or exchange them in the following cases: if the Goods, etc. are lost or damaged due to a reason attributable to the user (except for damaging the packaging for content verification), if the value of the Goods, etc. has significantly decreased due to the user's use or partial consumption, if the value of the Goods, etc. has significantly decreased over time to the extent that it is difficult to resell them, if the packaging of reproducible Goods, etc. has been damaged, if the user has been notified in advance and consented to the separate production of Goods, etc. according to their order.
- If the content of the Goods, etc. differs from the display or advertisement content or is performed differently from the contract content, the user may withdraw their subscription, etc. within 3 months from the date of receipt of the Goods, etc., or within 30 days from the date the user knew or could have known such fact.
Article 12 (Effects of Withdrawal of Subscription, etc.)
- If the Company receives the return of Goods, etc. from the user, it shall refund the already paid price of the Goods, etc. within 3 business days. If the refund is delayed, the Company shall pay delayed interest calculated by multiplying the delayed interest rate stipulated in the 「Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.」.
- When refunding the above amount, if the user paid the price of Goods, etc. using a credit card or electronic money, the Company shall immediately request the business entity that provided the payment method to suspend or cancel the billing for the Goods, etc.
- In case of withdrawal of subscription, etc., the user shall bear the cost of returning the received Goods, etc. However, if the content of the Goods, etc. differs from the display or advertisement content or is performed differently from the contract content, and the subscription is withdrawn, the Company shall bear the cost.
Article 13 (Personal Information Protection)
When collecting users' personal information, the Company collects the minimum necessary personal information within the scope required for service provision, and detailed matters regarding the processing of personal information shall follow the separate 「Personal Information Processing Policy」.
Article 14 (Company's Obligations)
The Company shall not commit acts prohibited by laws and these terms and conditions or acts contrary to public morals, and shall do its best to continuously and stably provide goods and services as stipulated in these terms and conditions.
Article 15 (User's Obligations)
Users shall not engage in the following acts: registering false information when applying or changing, misappropriating others' information, unauthorized alteration of information posted on the Mall, transmitting or posting information other than that specified by the Company (such as computer programs), infringing on the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of the Company and other third parties, or damaging the reputation or interfering with the business of the Company and other third parties.
Article 16 (Attribution and Restriction of Use of Copyrights)
The copyrights and other intellectual property rights to works created by the Mall (product images, text, designs, etc.) belong to the Company. Users shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use for commercial purposes, or allow third parties to use, information obtained through the Mall without the prior consent of the Company.
Article 17 (Dispute Resolution)
- The Company endeavors to reflect legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and to compensate for any damages incurred.
- In the event of a user's request for dispute resolution regarding an electronic commerce dispute between the Company and the user, the dispute may be submitted to mediation by the Fair Trade Commission or a dispute resolution agency (e.g., Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee, Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee) commissioned by the Mayor/Governor.
Article 18 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
- Lawsuits concerning electronic commerce disputes arising between the Company and the user shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the user's address at the time of filing the lawsuit, and if there is no address, over the user's residence. However, if the user's address or residence is unclear at the time of filing the lawsuit or if the user is a foreign resident, the lawsuit shall be filed in the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
- Electronic commerce lawsuits filed between the Company and the user shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Article 19 (Language)
These terms and conditions are written in Korean. In the event of any discrepancy between the Korean version and any translated versions (such as English, Japanese, or Chinese), the Korean version shall prevail.
